Chris, essentially, the only change will be that the up-front memory grant will be larger when the trace flag is enabled. They've updated the wording in the KB slightly, and I've asked them to add more detail, but so far nothing…
So does anybody understand how KB3088480 for data spills in large sorts will work? What is trace flag 7470 going to do?
